Château Thivin Côte de Brouilly

Grown on the flanks of an extinct volcano, where the blue-grey diorite gives this Gamay a mineral spine beneath all that crushed raspberry and violet. Thivin is Beaujolais for the curious. Joyful and juicy on first sip, then strangely stony, like a sunny hillside with something ancient under it. Serve it slightly cool and let it surprise you.
